(Don’t miss the tour sign-up sheet when you visit. Just beware of the often elevated alcohol content of the Bruery’s offerings - they have a tendency to sneak up on you. I don't think I'd recommend this tour based on our experience (and it probably would just have been easier to rent kayaks from the store where the guide rented them from for us).The Bruery’s Placentia tasting room falls just over the Anaheim border, but it is a must-visit for dedicated beer lovers, especially if you have a taste for the sour beers. The actual kayaking experience was enjoyable and the "hike" was more of a leisurely walk around the parking lot/boardwalk area, which was ok. The tour guide apologized profusely and we weren't really even that upset but just really confused as to why no one contacted us at any point during this entire time. 15 minutes went by and still no one had contacted us so we were ready to just call it quits when the guide finally showed up. I was then told that the guide had car trouble and would be there in 2 minutes. I was told the agent would call me back but after 15 minutes I called back and explained that I still hadn't been contacted by anyone. The second time I called someone picked up and I explained the situation at which point the agent said they were trying to get a hold of the tour guide. I called the number on the reservation and no one picked up at first. There was no signage for WeVenture and when we asked around no one knew anything of the company. The tour started off very poorly as we arrived 10 minutes early per the instructions but no one was at the location specified. Here’s the kicker-the tour guide told us (while we waited for the manager’s response) that he had told his manager earlier that this tour doesn’t make sense today because of the holiday, and the manager told him not to say anything to the clients until AFTER WE ARRIVED.Ĭonsidering it was 100+ degrees in Downtown LA, we (the tour guide, myself, and my friend collectively) to just eat the money and go home, rather than traipse around Downtown in the blistering heat to do 28% of the tour we paid $75 EACH for. But by the time the manager responded, the official tour time had started, and the manager said we were out of the cancellation window. When asked if we could simply reschedule for the following weekend, he said he had to reach out to his manager for approval first. Upon arriving, my tour guide informed me that 5 out of the 7 spots we were supposed to visit were closed due to the holiday, but we would still be able to attend two places. I booked this tour for Labor Day 2022 and showed up ten minutes before my tour start time. I have messaged them hoping for a refund and will update this review if that refund comes through
